EU initials association agreements with Moldova and Georgia
The European Union has initialed association agreements with Moldova and Georgia during the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The technical procedure for initialing these documents took place on November 28. This step was announced at a ceremony on Friday in the presence of Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite and the leaders of Moldova and Georgia.
Grybauskaite described it as a "highly feasible and serious step forward as part of the Eastern Partnership program."
The sides expect to sign these agreements before the term in office of the current European Commission expires.
