Swedish foreign minister doubts Yanukovych's EU integration convictions are firm
Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt has said that Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych constantly hesitated in the European integration choice of Ukraine.
"I was never entirely convinced that President Yanukovych was ready to completely go this way," he told reporters in Vilnius on Thursday.
He said that this opinion was based on his personal experience of communication with Yanukovych.
"I think he's put himself in a very difficult situation, taking into account the fact that the economic situation in Ukraine is extremely difficult," Bildt said.
