Ukraine president to speak about Ukraine-Russia-EU consultations in Vilnius
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will speak at the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius and propose holding consultations involving Ukraine, Russia and the European Union on Ukraine's signing an associated membership agreement with the European Union
"I hope our president will voice the idea of holding such consultations in Vilnius," Azarov told foreign reporters in Kyiv on Tuesday.
Azarov also said that Russia had proposed organizing trilateral consultations before signing the Ukraine-EU accord, without advancing any ultimatums.
If such talks bring about concrete results, the issue of signing the associated membership agreement could be raised again at the next Ukraine-EU summit in 2014, he said.
