Bill on Tymoshenko's treatment may be passed at first reading by New Year, says Regions Party MP
MP Mykhailo Chechetov of the Regions Party has said that a compromise bill on the medical treatment of prisoners abroad will be prepared by a working group and may be passed at first reading closer to the New Year.
"We want to prepare the law on the referral to treatment in such a way that the five leaders [of the factions of the Verkhovna Rada] sign it, and we can pass it in one go," he told reporters on Thursday.
The bill prepared by the working group may be put to the vote in December, Chechetov said.
"I think we will pass it at first reading by New Year. And later, after the holidays, we may pass it at second reading," he said.
