The seventh honorary consulate of Lithuania in Ukraine has opened in Dnipropetrovsk.
During the opening ceremony, Lithuanian Ambassador to Ukraine Petras Vaitiekunas said that Ukraine has a chance to sign an Association Agreement with the EU.
"Ukraine has already made a great deal of progress. I think that the several issues that remain will be resolved soon, and Ukraine will sign Association [Agreement] with the EU on the 29th [of November]," he said.
The consulate of Lithuania in Dnipropetrovsk will deal with the development of cultural-economic relations between the countries and provided assistance to Lithuanians who live in Dnipropetrovsk region if they require it.
