Austrian foreign minister to try to convince Ukrainian president to resolve Tymoshenko's issue
Austria's Vice Chancellor and Foreign Affairs Minister Michael Spindelegger has said that he will try to convince Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych during their meeting in Vienna on Thursday to find a solution to the situation with former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
"We all know that it is in the hands of President Viktor Yanukovych to find a solution," the minister said in Brussels on Monday at a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
"We will meet in Vienna on Thursday morning, and we will try to persuade him to do something."
Spindelegger said that he would like to see something happening in Ukraine, be it the adoption of new legislation or a decision by the president.
