Russian measures against Roshen products not against WTO rules - ministry
Russia's measures against the products of Ukrainian confectionary company Roshen do not violate WTO rules, the chief trade negotiator at the Russian Economic Development Ministry, Maxim Medvedkov told reporters on Tuesday.
A Ukrainian representative said at a meeting of the WTO committee on technical barriers in trade last week that Russia's measures against Roshen violate its obligations under the agreement on technical barriers.
"We don't agree," Medvedkov said. "We will naturally look into this statement, we've already begun studying it with specialists from relevant agencies and will provide a response at the next committee meeting," he said.
