Kyiv disappointed by lack of assistance from EU in reorientation of Ukrainian exports, says Azarov
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has expressed regret at the fact that the European Union has not provided any specific proposals concerning the reorientation of Ukrainian exports.
"At our meetings with our European partners, we talked quite openly about the situation that we currently have," Azarov said in an interview with Inter TV Channel.
"We talked about our problems, [and] we proposed that they, in the first place, help us resolve the issue of the reorientation of our exports."
The premier said Ukraine could supply equipment for the energy sector, transport and other sectors.
"Unfortunately, the EU works perhaps not as quickly as we would like. We raised this issue in July, it is already November, and we have not received any specific proposals," the Ukrainian prime minister said.
