Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has dismissed Mykhailo Vyshyvaniuk from the post of the head of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration.
Yanukovych signed a relevant decree on Friday, November 8, according to the Web site of the Ukrainian president.
By another decree, the president appointed head of Ivano-Frankivsk branch of the Party of Regions Vasyl Chudnov to this post.
As reported, on March 26, 2010, the president appointed Vyshyvaniuk, born in 1962, as governor of Ivano-Frankivsk region. He previously held this post from February 1997 to January 2005.
In March 2013, Vyshyvaniuk said that he would be dismissed from this post in 2017 when he turns 65.
Vasyl Chudnov, born in 1958, has headed the regional organization of the Party of Regions since December 2008. Prior to this, he headed the state department for environmental protection in Ivano-Frankivsk region, served as an advisor to the environment minister.
