Cox, Kwasniewski to meet with officials, opposition figures, visit Tymoshenko this week
Observers from the European Parliament, former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski and former European Parliament President Pat Cox, will hold meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian government and the opposition during their visit to Ukraine on November 6-8, Interfax-Ukraine has learned at the EU Delegation in Kyiv.
The observers also plan to visit convicted former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in Kharkiv hospital.
The agency earlier learned from diplomatic sources that Cox and Kwasniewski might attend the Ukrainian parliament session to debate the bills concerning medical treatment for prisoners abroad.
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Rybak said that the Ukrainian parliament would consider all four bills related to prisoners' treatment abroad on Thursday morning.
