Ukraine should take new approaches to economic cooperation with CIS after signing agreement with EU, says Yanukovych
After the signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union, Ukraine should adopt new approaches to trade and economic cooperation with the CIS countries, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.
"In order to develop partnerships and mutually beneficial relations with the CIS countries after the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU, Ukraine should work out new approaches to trade and economic cooperation within the CIS based on sovereign partnership, equality and mutual benefit," Yanukovych said at a regional meeting of the world economic forum "Strategic Dialogue on Ukraine's Future" in Kyiv on Wednesday.
The president also noted the need to establish partnerships both with the EU and with the Eurasian Economic Community, with the further harmonization of the conditions for business activities in both associations.
