If gas compromise not found with Russia, Ukraine will buy gas from Europe – Kozhara

Ukraine will buy gas on the European market if the gas talks with Russia bring no compromise, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara has said.

"Ukraine's current policy in the energy sphere is directed at the diversification of natural gas supplies. Our country has started to buy gas on the European market, which is much cheaper. We are planning to keep following this way if we don't reach a compromise with our Russian partners," Kozhara said in an interview with the Uriadovy Kurier publication.
