US Assistant Secretary Nuland to visit Ukraine to discuss Kyiv's European aspirations
U.S. Assistant Secretary Victoria Nuland is planning to visit Kyiv on November 3-4, the U.S. Department of State told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.
It is expected that during her visit to Ukraine, Nuland will hold a number of meetings with senior government officials and parliamentarians from a range political parties to discuss bilateral issues and Ukraine's European aspirations.
Before visiting Ukraine, Nuland will travel to Hungary and Turkey.
In this regard, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt wrote on his page on Twitter: "It's a great honor and pleasure for me to receive U.S. Assistant Secretary Victoria Nuland next week."
Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Eric Rubin visited Ukraine this week, whereas Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor at the U.S. Department of State Thomas O. Melia visited Kyiv a few days earlier.
