Vlasenko denies plans to stand for parliament in elections on December 15
Serhiy Vlasenko, a defense lawyer for former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, has said he is not planning to participate in the by-elections for parliament in five constituencies.
"I'm stating and I have repeatedly stated earlier that I'm not running and was not going to run for an MP in constituency No. 94 or any other constituency," he said live on Channel 5 late on Wednesday.
He described as "dirty tricks" the nomination of two of his namesakes in constituency No. 94t.
Repeat elections in five constituencies will be held on December 15.
