Rybak: Ratification of Ukraine-EU Association Agreement to take 2-3 years
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Rybak has said that ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union will take 2-3 years.
"How long it will take? I think that one year won't be enough. It took two-three years in the countries that have entered the EU," he said during the meeting with teaching staff and students of the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources Use in Rivne.
According to speaker, after such an agreement is ratified, some time has to pass until entry to the European Union.
"I say that all states spent ten years [before entering the EU]. How many years will we spend? I think less since, after all, we're a state with 45 million people," he said.
