Yanukovych: Ukraine supports declaring 2014 Year of Tourism in CIS
Ukraine is planning to support the decision to declare the year 2014 as the Year of Tourism in the CIS, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.
"We also intend to sign the decision to declare the year 2014 as the Year of Tourism in the CIS," the presidential press service quoted him as saying at a meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of State in Minsk on Friday.
Yanukovych said that Ukraine wants to make maximum use of its tourism potential.
"Of course, interaction between the CIS member states is an important element of the development of this sector," he said.
He said he was confident that the joint work of the CIS countries in this area would help achieve significant positive results.
