Yanukovych: Ukraine completing procedures to join CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund
Ukraine is completing the internal procedures needed for its entry to the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.
"Once this process is completed, we will join the program implemented by the fund directly," the presidential press service quoted him as saying at a meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of State in Minsk on Friday.
Yanukovych said that Ukraine had acceded to the agreement on the CIS Council for Humanitarian Cooperation.
He also said that Ukraine supports the implementation of an interstate program "Cultural Capitals of the Commonwealth" in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in 2014.
