Yanukovych says contacts between Ukrainian, Chinese parties important

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has stressed the importance of contacts between parties in the context of the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and China.

"Dynamic contacts between parties contribute to mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of spheres, including regional cooperation. We should continue to develop our cooperation in the future," Yanukovych said at a meeting with member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China Liu Yunshan in Kyiv on Friday.

The president added that the development of relations between parties is an important component of strategic partnership between the countries.
