Next round of FTA talks between Ukraine and Israel scheduled for December, says embassy
The work on an agreement on the formation of a free trade area between Israel and Ukraine is going on schedule.
The leadership of the two states are currently holding consultations on this matter, the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine reported on Thursday. The next round of talks is scheduled for December.
On August 19, Israeli Deputy Interior Minister Fania Kirshenbaum said Ukraine postponed signing the free trade area agreement with Israel due to the priority of signing the Association Agreement with the European Union.
"We have completed our work [to create the free trade area with Ukraine] on the Israeli side. But because Ukraine is currently very busy with signing the Association Agreement with the EU, it concentrates most of its time on this and the issue of establishing the free trade zone with Israel has fallen by the wayside," Kirshenbaum said at a news conference in Kyiv on Monday.
