Kaczynski memorial plaque in Odesa vandalized

Vandals have sprayed paint over a plaque in Odesa commemorating Polish President Lech Kaczynski, who died in an air crash in Russia in 2010, the City Council said on Saturday.

"Public utility services are taking every measure to restore the memorial plaque as quickly as possible," council spokeswoman Natalya Maltseva told Interfax-Ukraine, expressing confidence the work would be finished before midnight on Saturday.
