Neither Kyiv nor Moscow has informed WTO of trade dispute, says WTO
The World Trade Organization is not aware of the existence of any trade dispute between Ukraine and Russia, and Kyiv has not asked for the WTO's assistance in settling such a conflict.
"The WTO does not itself initiate actions against any country. At this time we have not been officially notified of this dispute. All members of the WTO have recourse to the dispute settlement system, but at this point neither party has availed themselves of the system in this particular case," the organization said in response to a written inquiry from Interfax-Ukraine.
At the same time, the WTO declined to offer any assessments of the current situation.
