Ukraine wants to bring up blockage of imports to Russia at Eurasian Economic Commission meeting on August 16
Ukraine expects to put the problems with Ukrainian goods' passage through the Russian customs border on the agenda of a Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) meeting on August 16, Ukraine's envoy to the EEC Viktor Suslov said to Interfax-Ukraine.
The Ukrainian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Yuriy Boiko will try to bring up the issue at the EEC meeting, Suslov said.
"Ukraine expects this issue to be raised, but it is so far difficult to say whether this will be possible to do in due course. This issue is not on the agenda at the time being," he said.
The Ukrainian Employers' Federation said earlier that the Russian Customs Service put all Ukrainian importers on the risk list starting August 14, 2013, which essentially implies the blockage of all Ukrainian imports to Russia for an indefinite time.
