Two Party of Regions representatives win by-election to village council in Ivano-Frankivsk region
Two Party of Regions representatives have won by-elections in two constituencies in Vovchkivtsi Village Council, Sniatyn district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, which took place on Sunday, the press service of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional branch of the Party of Regions has reported.
Oleksandra Levko won the election in constituency No. 8, collecting 100% of the vote (25.6% turnout), and Alla Karavatska won the election in constituency No. 9, receiving 73% of the vote (43.6% turnout).
According to the press service, 536 deputies of local councils at various levels and 42 heads of village councils currently represent the Party of Regions in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The press service recalled that before local elections on October 30, 2010, the Party of Regions had only seven deputies in Ivano-Frankivsk region: four in Ivano-Frankivsk City Council and three in Kolomyya City Council.
