Boryspil airport accelerates passport control at Terminal D
Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) in late July launched a system of simplified border controls at Terminal D.
According to the press service of the airport, using a special electronic card, which includes basic information about a citizen, the passenger is automatically identified through the e-gate system.
Special reading devices, to which passengers display their card, have been installed at arrival and departure points at Terminals D and F. Passengers also have to show their passports to border guards. The total procedure of checks takes no more than two minutes.
Passengers can obtain the electronic cards at an issuing point on the first floor at Terminal F, filling in an appropriate application form and paying a state fee. The issue of the cards is carried out at Boryspil airport around the clock.
Any person can use an e-card for fast track formalities. The service is available for both residents and non-residents of Ukraine.
