The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine rendered assistance in the evacuation of 13 Ukrainians and one Syrian national, a family member of one of the Ukrainians, from Syria.
According to the ministry's Information Policy Department, the abovementioned people were evacuated on July 30. They were taken to Lebanon first, and from there they took a regular flight from Beirut to Kyiv.
The Foreign Ministry covered the transportation costs.
The ministry also said that it provided the Ukrainian nationals with general assistance during border crossing and customs procedures, as well as during their onward journeys to their places of residence in Ukraine.
