Four Ukrainian sailors drowned when chased by Russian border guards in Azov Sea, says source
A boat with Ukrainian sailors capsized in Azov Sea on Wednesday evening, when chased by Russian border guards, a source from law enforcement agencies said.
According to the source, the boat with sailors appeared in the territorial waters of the Russian Federation, and was noticed by Russian border guards, who started pursuit of the alleged poachers.
The source said that the Russian border guards ran into the boat overturning it.
"One of the sailors survived, four drowned," said the source.
The agency has not yet managed to obtain official information from law enforcement authorities about the incident.
