Kyiv expects Croatia's active support in Ukraine's rapprochement with EU, says foreign minister
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara has congratulated Croatia on joining the European Union.
"This is the most important landmark event in the history of Croatia, which means the successful completion of a complex path of reforms and transformation aimed at achieving the highest standards of democracy, community and social development," reads the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service quoted Kozhara's letter to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Croatia Vesna Pusic.
Kozhara praised the constructive dialogue between the two countries on the issues of European integration and expressed the hope that Croatia as a new member of the EU, will remain a reliable partner and an active supporter of Ukraine's rapprochement with the EU.
On July 1, Croatia became a full member of the European Union.
