Lutsenko hopes Tymoshenko will manage to run for presidency in 2015
Former Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko has said he hopes that former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko will be able to run for the presidency of Ukraine in 2015.
"I really hope that Yulia Volodymyrivna will manage to obtain all legal permissions before the election campaign in order to put forward her candidacy. By the way, the constitution today does not prohibit this, but no one has tested a well-known conflict in the legislation," Lutsenko told journalists in Kharkiv on Wednesday.
When asked whether he was ready to support Tymoshenko's candidacy for presidency, the ex-minister said: "I will support the candidate that manages to unite a solid team with a specific plan for changing the country. Yulia Volodymyrivna is one of the best leaders. Unfortunately, reality forces us to think about other options."
