Foreign Ministry advises Ukrainians not to visit some Brazilian cities because of protests
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has recommended that Ukrainians not travel to the central regions of large Brazilian cities because of protests that have broken out in the country.
"Since the situation in Brazil has worsened because of the protests, Ukrainian citizens who are in this country now are recommended not to visit the central regions of Brasilia, Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Vitoria, and Rio de Janeiro," Foreign Ministry's spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
The ministry recommends citizens who are in Brazil to tighten their personal security, and limit their movements in the public places in the afternoon and at night as much as possible.
"You should avoid places where there are protests and mass gatherings of people, primarily near administrative premises and government buildings in large cities, as well as in the provincial tourist towns of Brazil," the spokesman said.
