Bus drives into ditch in Ternopil region, three people hospitalized, say traffic police
A BAZ bus carrying 26 passengers drove into a roadside ditch on Monday near Ternopil, with three people being hospitalized as a result of the accident.
As the traffic police of Ukraine's Interior Ministry in Ternopil region reported on Tuesday, according to preliminary data, the driver of a Renault Magnum heavy truck, when turning left into a filling station, failed to notice the BAZ bus, which at that moment was attempting to overtake the truck.
To avoid colliding with the truck, the bus driver moved onto the side of the road, and drove into the ditch.
The bus was traveling on the Pidhaitsi-Ternopil road.
