Georgian PM: Saakashvili's arrest not ruled out after elections
Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said he does not want President Mikheil Saakashvili to be arrested, but "nothing can be ruled out." he added.
"I do not want Saakashvili to be arrested. Although, nothing can be ruled out. We have a prosecutor's office and courts. The law applies equally to everyone. I don't want to hold any talks with him," Ivanishvili told Israeli reporters in Jerusalem when asked whether Saakashvili could be arrested after the October presidential elections.
He also said that Saakashvili does not respect the law.
"He has the talent of deceiving not only Georgian citizens, but also the world. Everyone supported him, although it became subsequently clear that he was building an authoritarian regime," Ivanishvili said.
