EU ambassador can't say if Association Agreement with Ukraine could be signed today
EU Ambassador to Ukraine Jan Tombinski has said he cannot give a definite answer to the question of whether the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine could be signed today.
He said this on the air on Ukrainian television's Channel 5.
"I would be very happy to take part in the signing. My job is to do everything to facilitate the signing of the agreement. But at present, I would not venture to give a definite answer to this question," Tombinski said.
The ambassador also said that the imprisonment of Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is not a barrier to the political dialogue between the EU and Ukraine.
