Foreign Ministry: 189 tourists stuck in Egypt for one more day due to aircraft malfunction
According to the Ukrainian Embassy in Egypt, a Hurghada-Kyiv flight that was to carry 189 tourists to Ukraine was canceled on June 5, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Yevhen Perebyinis said that the delay was caused by a technical fault on the plane.
"According to the tour operator, experts arrived in Hurghada on June 5 to repair the aircraft, and the tour operator accommodated the tourists in a local hotel at its own expense," he said.
Perebyinis said that according to Ukrainian Embassy, the repair of the aircraft is complete and its departure to Kyiv was scheduled for 1400 Kyiv time on Thursday.
