Memorandum on deeper cooperation between Ukraine, Eurasian Economic Commission of technical nature, says Kozhara

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara has said that the memorandum on deeper cooperation signed between Ukraine and the Eurasian Economic Commission is of technical nature.

"The memorandum is of a technical nature, as the statutory documents of the Customs Union do not contain the notion of 'observer'," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday following a meeting with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius.

According to the minister, now Ukraine can participate in meetings of the Customs Union agencies without having the right to vote.

"This memorandum is not of legal and obligatory nature, it is an organizational document," Kozhara said.
