Chumak: Opposition MPs not to participate in vote in Kyiv City Council after June 2
Opposition MPs will not participate in any vote that will be held in Kyiv City Council after June 2, UDAR Party MP Viktor Chumak said on Channel 5 on Thursday.
"The Batkivschyna Party, the UDAR Party and representatives of independent groups will not participate in the vote in Kyiv City Council," he said.
Chumak noted that MPs would sit and record all illegal votes by city council deputies in order to open criminal cases for the usurpation of power during a change of government.
"This is the only right decision. It's currently impossible not to withdraw the mandate and lists. Such a decision cannot be taken, because it's not stipulated by the law. The self-dissolution of the city council is not envisaged by the law," he said.
