Foreign Ministry: Ukraine has to pass only one law to switch to second phase of action plan on visa liberalization with EU
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has said that Kyiv has to pass only one bill, related to anti-discrimination, in order to complete the first phase of the action plan on visa liberalization with the European Union.
"Thanks to the active work of the government and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, almost all of the laws needed for the completion of the first (legislative) phase of the action plan on visa liberalization with the European Union have currently been adopted," deputy director of information policy department at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Vasyl Zvarych said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
In particular, he said that the Ukrainian parliament had passed a number of laws to implement state anti-corruption policy, as well as to improve the system of protection of personal data, which are needed to promote the visa-free dialog between Ukraine and the EU.
