Storms cut power supply to almost 470 towns and villages in Ukraine
High winds and thunderstorms cut power supply to 468 Ukrainian towns and villages in the early hours of May 21, the Ukrainian Emergency Situations Ministry said on Tuesday.
Power outages were reported in Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Kyiv, Volyn and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
The storms damaged house roofs and uprooted several trees in several districts of Ternopil and Rivne regions.
An asbestos-cement board fell off a house roof and hit a woman in Ostroh, Rivne region. The woman died later in hospital.
