Court hearing of UESU case moved to June 7 due to absence of Tymoshenko
A court hearing of the case on the financial irregularities of the United Energy Systems of Ukraine (UESU) Corporation has been adjourned until 1500 on June 7.
"The court found it impossible to consider the case in the absence of defendant Yulia Tymoshenko and her defense lawyer, [Andriy] Kozhemiakin. As for the petitions submitted by the defense team, the position of the court remains unchanged. The petitions concerning the essence of the case will be considered at a respective stage of the trial in the presence of Tymoshenko," Judge Kostiantyn Sadovsky said at a court session on Tuesday.
His speech was accompanied by supporters of Tymoshenko shouting "Shame!"
