Parliament not to consider Naftogaz reform bill this week
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Rybak has said that bills on the reform of Naftogaz Ukrainy and repeat elections in troubled districts will not be put on the agenda this week.
"We're not submitting two bills for consideration," he said at a meeting of the parliament's conciliatory council of heads of factions and committees in Kyiv on Monday.
He said that the bills would be considered after all questions on these documents are agreed.
As reported, the agenda of a Verkhovna Rada meeting on Tuesday, May 21, includes a bill on repeat elections of people's deputies in troubled districts and a bill on the reform of National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz Ukrainy, according to the parliamentary Web site.
Bill No. 2937 on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine to reform Naftogaz was introduced by the Ukrainian government on April 25 this year.
