Cabinet drawing up list of infrastructure project to minimize impact of global crisis, says Tymoshenko

The Ukrainian government is drawing up a package of infrastructure projects, the realization of which would minimize the impact of the global financial crisis on Ukraine, Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko said at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the cabinet press service has reported.

The premier said that the package would be realized over the next five years.

Tymoshenko said that 14 top-priority investment projects worth UAH 58 billion were approved at a meeting with representatives of the fuel and energy sector on Tuesday. UAH 14.9 billion will be spent in 2009.

She said that 62 projects worth UAH 6.6 billion in the coal sector have been selected.
