Ukraine reaches agreement in principle on observer status at Customs Union, says premier
Ukraine has reached an agreement in principle about getting observer status in the Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, which can be formalized at a meeting with the leadership of this organization in late May, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
"An agreement in principle has been reached… At this stage, I believe the decision has been taken, and technical matters remain," he said at a meeting with foreign journalists in Kyiv on Tuesday.
