Court hearing in UESU case against Tymoshenko adjourned until May 21
A break has been announced in the hearing of a criminal case on the financial abuse within the United Energy Systems of Ukraine (UESU) corporation until 1000 on May 21.
"The court ruled that the proceedings cannot be held in the absence of the defendant, [former premier of Ukraine] Yulia Tymoshenko. A break is declared in the hearing until 1000 on May 21," Judge Kostiantyn Sadovsky announced at a court hearing on Tuesday.
He also said that the court hadn't changed its position towards Tymoshenko's petition to close the criminal case. The court will consider the petition in the presence of the defendant at the relevant stage of the proceedings.
