Ukrainian stagnating economy is enough to dismiss Azarov-led govt - opposition member
The Ukrainian economy is in stagnation today, and this circumstance alone is sufficient to dismiss the government of Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Batkivschyna opposition faction leader Arseniy Yatseniuk said.
"There was zero GDP growth in 2012. Is it the improvement you made? You should be dismissed for this improvement," Yatseniuk, who supports a vote of no-confidence in the current cabinet, said in parliament on Friday.
"Zero GDP growth means that the economy is stagnating," he said.
The first 7-10 minutes of Yatseniuk's speech were accompanied by a slideshow from a brochure, entitled Three Years of "Improvement" are Enough to Dismiss the Yanukovych-Azarov Government. Copies of the brochure were presented to all parliamentarians ahead of today's session.
