Ukraine paying proper attention to PACE's recommendations, says Yanukovych
Ukraine is paying the proper attention to the recommendations of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said at a meeting with Co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Marietta de Pourbaix-Lundin and Mailis Reps.
"We're paying proper attention to PACE's recommendations," the head of state said.
He said it was very important to the Ukrainian side that the recommendations are not politically biased.
"At the same time, it is very important that these recommendations not contain politically biased issues, and their implementation has to be in line with [Ukrainian] legislation," he said.
The president also expressed hope that the visit of the co-rapporteurs would bring benefit to Ukraine and contribute to the implementation of democratic reforms in the country.
