Yefremov: Yanukovych's address to parliament to be ready in May
The annual address by Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to the Verkhovna Rada will be ready in May, the Party of Regions has said.
"The president, as far as I know, will finalize the preparation of a respective address, and I think that a respective decision on this issue will be made in May," Party of Regions faction leader Oleksandr Yefremov told reporters on Monday when asked when Yanukovych will send his message to parliament.
He said the head of state is still to decide whether he will speak in parliament or whether the annual address will be given to the MPs in print.
"If parliament is ready to listen properly and work constructively, I think that nothing will restrain the president and he will be ready to speak in parliament. If there are completely senseless cries in parliament, the head of state won't speak in such a parliament," Yefremov said.
