Opposition to work in Rada next plenary week, says Yatseniuk
Ukraine's opposition, which has been blocking the work of the parliament since early February, has said it is ready to unlock the Verkhovna Rada next plenary week, Leader of the Batkivschyna Party Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"Our demands have been satisfied – the four issues are on the agenda, so the next week we will consider them," Yatseniuk told reporters in Kharkiv on Friday.
He said that the opposition pressed for the consideration of the issues related to the mayoral election in Kyiv, the abolition of pension reform, the government's resignation and the exclusion from the Criminal Code of Ukraine of the articles under which Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko was convicted.
