Opposition continues blocking Ukraine's parliament
Members of Parliament (MPs) from the opposition factions on Thursday morning are continuing blocking the rostrum and presidium of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament.
As an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported, opposition MPs are standing at the parliament's rostrum and in the presidium area.
The doors to the presidium are not blocked, and Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Rybak has recently joined a group of the opposition's representatives in the presidium area, and now he is talking to Svoboda faction members.
Other MPs from the opposition factions have come up to the presidium area.
As reported, the opposition blocked the parliament's work in the evening of April 2 after parliament rejected a draft bill on elections of Kyiv's mayor and Kyiv city council members. The opposition demands the fulfillment of three conditions: setting a date for the elections in Kyiv, putting to vote the abolition of the pension reform and no-confidence in Mykola Azarov's government.
