No one hurt in platform collapse at train station in Kyiv, says emergencies service
No one was hurt when a railway platform collapsed at Kyiv's Vyshgorodska train station on Tuesday, the State Emergency Situations Service's main department in Kyiv has reported.
"No one was killed or injured," a spokeswoman for the department, Larysa Mylnykova-Satysh, told Interfax-Ukraine.
She said that a part of the platform subsided.
According to Mylnykova-Satysh, a fire and rescue brigade of Obolon district of Kyiv was sent to the scene. Railway workers are currently dealing with the situation, she added.
As was reported with reference to eyewitnesses, a platform collapsed at Vyshgorodska train station, when some 20 people were standing there, they said. According to the witnesses, no one was hurt.
A Southwestern Railways spokesman told Interfax-Ukraine that specialists have left for the scene.
