Jerome Vacher will be appointed the representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Ukraine from May 1, the fund's representative office in Kyiv has said.
"Vacher, a French citizen, has extensive experience of work on the problems of countries with developed economy, as well as the economy of countries whose markets are undergoing formation. Recently he worked on the issues of Spain's economy," reads a statement sent to Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the report, Max Alier, who has been working representative of the IMF in Ukraine since 2009, will leave Kyiv after his assignment expires at the end of April.
