Over 560 Ukrainians evacuated from Syria in last two years
Two more Ukrainian citizens have been evacuated from Syria, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.
"On March 26, 2013, the Foreign Ministry and the Ukrainian Embassy in Syria, in cooperation with other concerned bodies, ensured the return of two of our compatriots to their homeland through Lebanon, due to the bad security situation in the country," Acting Director of the Foreign Ministry's Information Policy Department Yevhen Perebyinis said at a briefing on Wednesday.
According to the Foreign Ministry, 568 Ukrainians have already been evacuated from Syria since 2011 due to the escalation of the conflict in the country.
